Compare and Contrast Video Blogging

This is not necessarily a video response to Aly at Calling People Names... more of a contrast and compare.

I'm always fascinated with how people from this ginormous country of ours can be so similar and yet so different, depending on where they grew up in it.

I'm a generically typical no accent upper middle US broad. A lot of the people in Pittsburgh are exactly like people in New Jersey and I'm not one of those. Never had big hair, don't sound like I've been practicing sounding like James Caan's Sonny in the Godfather since I was 10... You get the picture.

Aly is a modern southern belle. Lovely, made up to perfection, with a dirty, dirty mouth...

Here is my video blog response:

I'm not really a slave. I just like the word and the sexual connotation. That's not true either.

I hope everyone is having a delightful Sunday.

I grew up in the NE, I'm still there. Someone told me I've got a NYC accent mashed with a midwestern accent. I thought it was weird. lol.

OH yea....you totally have an accent to the rest of the world! :D I always get made fun of for my Pittsburgh accent and I DO NOT say yinz or n@! haha!

Totally fun though. I love you for who you are! It's great! My son does video blogs all the time. eeeeeeeeeep. I don't know if I could do this. Maybe someday!

vblog scares me. I prefer to write so that I don't say something I shouldn't and I have to re record. This way I can just delete.

Very nice. You do have an accent. It's kind of American. ;-)

Man, I just love this blogworld! What a perfect example of two lovely, opposite ladies doing their thing :) I saved your and Aly's posts for last and it proved to be the best. And don't worry about the slave-thing; my mom says that's the best way to get something out of my dad. Men like to have their ... eh ... egos stroked. Nicely done, Erin, and thanks for sharing :)

I can't BELIEVE you are so young and cute and you have FOUR kids, and I'm so old and twitchy and blotchy and have ZERO kids. I have got to get crackin on the kids.

This has nothing to do with your vlog, except that I wanted to see you eat a fruit again.

Also, was Aly drunk? I thought she wasn't drunk. Is there a drunk one somewhere? I want to see a drunk vlog real bad. Maybe Chiefy will come through.

Steamy: I don't know that Aly was drunk, but in the post before her video blogging, she said she was going to be...so I just mixed the two realities together.

Video blogging is hysterical. You couldn't look more dis-interested if you tried, which was my favorite part.
I have a NE Philly accent even though I haven't lived there since I was 6. It's like a curse.

I came running back over here after reading your comment to say something to Jeremiah:
For Pete's Sake, buy this woman a coat! If not because she's freezing, do it because it will be cheaper than the doctors bills if she gets sick.

Hope I'm not sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, but we bloggers have to stick together. Hugs. xo d

Hah. I wasn't drunk. Seriously? After reading my blog you people think I'm that quiet and calm when I'm drunk? No one pays attention.

Damn it, Erin. I wanna see this video!

You look so young! Nice to put a voice to the words. :)

What do I think about that? I think you're completely adorable. I envy your skin. And your voice is announcer-ready.

Something tells me we wouldn't need to do too much digging to find a pic or two of you w/ginormous hair. I mean, you may not have been a typical Jersey girl, but the 90's happened to everyone.

Madame DeFarge said...

Yup, definitely an accent going on there.

mo.stoneskin said...

I couldn't hear any accent.

Wait, that's just the volume.

Hold on.

Nope, definitely not an accent.

You are just darling.
And by the way- you do have an accent. It's darling, too.

Girl, if I had kids, I'd be drunk all of the time. But without makeup. It'd be hard to put makeup on when you're drunk. At least I think.
