Pet Peeves and Just Pets

Everybody has pet peeves about their partner, I'm sure. Jeremiah has quite a few Erin related peeves.

I guess I:

-Never close the cabinet doors

-Never properly screw on jars

-Kiss his shoulder all the time

-Use his razor to shave my legs

-Never clip my finger nails

-Call him a ridiculous number of times while he's working

-Totally messed up his YouTube account. I somehow took it over with kids videos and also unwittingly merged his youtube account with my Google account. I feel like a jerk for doing it, cause now he has to use my account to sign in etc..etc.... not to mention he can't set up a new account with his email, because it's still attached to the original youtube account. Any suggestions on how to get past this mess I created? I would love for him to have his regular account back, sans kids videos and my account info.

I'm sure that he has many many additions to this list, but I have would have to call him at work to find out and if nothing else I can read the above list and learn from my mistakes.

So now that's out of the way let's talk about me!...and my pet peeves about Jeremiah! Yay!

He always:

-Rolls his eyes at me when I'm making perfectly valid statements and completely hilarious jokes

-Says he's not falling asleep even though he's lying on the couch with his eyes closed snoring
(I'll say, 'Jeremiah, baby...I'll turn this movie off and we can finish watching it tomorrow if you're going to sleep.' 'ERIN, I'm not sleeping!' and he'll deny it till he's in a deep enough sleep to ignore me)

-Goes to sleep on the couch, never comes to bed and then when he comes to bed in the morning this happens

-Says that he's hungry, I offer to make him anything he wants and he can't make up his mind. Later he'll accuse me of not feeding him.

-Makes me feel guilty that I don't want any pets. He loves loves loves cats, which is funny to me, considering I don't like them at all.

Speaking of cats...I've seen the LOLcat thing before, but the other day I saw some really hilarious ones. In honor of Jeremiah's love of the feline persuasion I present to you the funniest lolcats:

I feel a bit better knowing that I am not the only one who loves the LOL cats. I can't help it- they make me laugh.
My husband falls asleep in his chair and when I wake him up to tell him to go to bed, he looks at me like I've hurt his feelings so badly.

I love LOL cats. And my cat Nugget...sometimes.

I'm afraid if I were to list all of my pet peeves, people would hate me and call me names. Maybe even throw stuff. And I'm the only one allowed to do that kinda stuff around here.

HA! Great post! You are a hoot!! Maybe you could compromise and get a turtle. I have a friend who is 30 something yrs old and has had hers since childhood. Easy to car for and fun to watch! Probably not too snuggly, but then, neither are cats.

Are you my ex-boyfriend? Because he always left the cabinet doors open and I constantly had to badger him about cutting his nails. And he hated cats. Coincidence?
I'm not a big cat person, I like dogs better, but LOLcats are like, the bomb dot com.

I have an extra email address that I never use and keep only for my youtube and photocuket.com accounts.

But why on earth do you not shut (I accidently typed 'i' instead of 'u' which made hilarious reading) cupboard doors? My wife does the same thing. She also likes leaving any door open she can find, but why? Doors should be opened then shut!!!

I read through your complaints and they are completely valid. Then I went back and read his complaints and realized nearly all of them are things I do, so they can't be all bad!

I can't go a day without looking at pics of cats captioned in LOL speak. Completely addicted.

I ended up kind of doing it anyway. Blaming you....

My list of pet peeves would last too long. His list of pet peeves would last too long. We agree to a truce and a mutually uncomfortable tolerance of such things.

I can't believe you usurped his youtube account.

My wife won't let me have a dog.

My kid does that deny-he's-asleep thing. He hates being caught napping.

I never close the cupboard doors, partially I think because I don't like the loud noise the cupboards in my old house used to make. Right now I have three cupboards open.

okay.

if you took all those peeves and put them in a hat and shook them up and redistributed them i swear they would be all the peeves my boyfriend and i have with (for? about?) each other.

maybe peeves are like chromosomes; we all have the same ones, but if we don't we end up with an extra leg or something.

it could happen.

These cats are great. You sound really hard to live with. :-) My husband always falls asleep when I'm telling him my problems. I suppose I have the annoying habit to want to talk in bed after eleven.

Regarding the cabinets? Bones will actually come up to me and hug me kindly and tell me that "It's ok that I never learned to work a cabinet door." I love him, but man, do I want to smack him sometimes.

Also, I heart lolcats. They make my day.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm going to add you to my reader.

Very cute LOLcats pics. We have 2 cats,I used to love cats until this last one. She's screwed in the head. My dh and I have been married so long, I don't even remember the pet peeves. Will have to think about this...

Okay, I had never seen these cats, and admit that I laughed. And normally cats just scare me.

I love the idea of a pet peeve partner list. I may have to try that. ;)
