Give Me Something Good To Eat.

Last night was trick or treat in our area. I think it's a wee bit strange, considering all Pittsburgh trick or treats are on Saturday, but oh well. Maybe we can go to two! More candy for me to pretend isn't there.

Rose and Olivia are way too cool for me and had planned to go with their daddy. When he came to pick them up Maxine showed her true colors and turned on me as well. Silly girls. They have no idea how much fun Jeremiah and I are....

So that left us alone with Elijah once again. Our little baby boy. I did snap a few photos of the turncoat Maxine Jane before she left.

As we walked around our neighborhood I was a little saddened. Last night was the first trick or treat ever that I have not been with my Momma. The first time in 28 years.

When I was a kid she would dress me up and I would always leave from her house, go around our neighborhood. If my dad was working she would walk me around, constantly reminding me, "Say thank you, Erin."

When I got older I would hand out candy with her, marveling at how much candy she gave out, how sweet she was to the littlest trick or treaters. She'd even let me harrass the kids who were way too old to be trick or treating. I would quiz them on their ages and then deny them candy. She would laugh and then give them some anyways.

When I had my own kids we would go to my mom's house and my babies would wear the costumes that myself and my siblings wore. If my dad was off, or if I had a little baby my mom and I would hand out candy together once again.

I didn't even talk to my mom last night...

OK I'm over it. More photos!

The last photo was the only one I got of my older two. Olivia was struggling to get back to her candy the whole time Jeremiah was trying to take the photo. I'm holding on to her for dear life, you can see the strain on my face. haha.

I'm Too Lazy Sale

Today I'm offering a pretty substantial deal on my blog...I made this scarf/wrap out of hypoallergenic acrylic yarn because I had some left over from an order.

Mainly I'm putting it for sale here on the cheap because I don't feel like taking all new photos for my shop. That sounds lazy but I'm just being honest with you.

Anyways, it's a very wide scarf so it can be worn as a scarf OR as a shoulder type wrap. The posies on the scarf are handmade and hand sewn. I like it alot.
It's on sale here for $25. If you're interested in it, or one like it (custom orders are a bit more $ and take approx. 2 weeks to make to order) please contact me via email. THANKS!

(Becky at My Little Becky, the orderer of hypoallergenic materials I mentioned above):

This is the set she ordered AND the shoes she wore to go with the set she ordered. Ta-da!

I just noticed she has freaking awesome eyes.

If you go over to her blog, please be warned that there is a very gross photo, or several of them.
No nudity though. Unless dogs without clothes on are considered nude.

Cold Hearted Snake...

I'm getting a cold.

I can't believe it.

My nose is itchy and stuffy.

I'm sneezing often.

My eyes are watering.

I'm whining more than usual...

Only one day into headcold land and I feel like I'm ready to call it quits. Tap out. Bring in the reinforcements. Whatever you do when you get some one else to do your job.

Oh.

I forgot.

I don't have a substitute or a back up. I'm the only one who can do this job and unfortunately it has to be done. First day of headcold-dom or not.

Wasn't Jeremiah's post so many layers of excellent? I cried when I read it. Jeremiah and I are very loving and affectionate, but he is not a complimenting type person. Reading that post made my day...and then I started feeling sick. Now nothing can make me feel better. Ever again. I'll never be the same.

It's so weird when all your kids are healthy and you're the one that's sick. I feel like crawling into bed and yelling down the stairs:

"MAX! HELLO..........MAXINE!!!!!!!! YOU SAID YOU WOULD GET ME SOME JUICE."

"MAX. Oh there you are. Max, mommy's so sick. Could you go and finish my orders for me, get online and pay Jeremiah's cell bill and the water bill. Use my regular account. Can you get your brother some cheese crackers and then clean the kitchen floor? There's something sticky in there and I can't figure it out."

"Oh. You're only 4. Nice excuse. I'm 28. That's only 24 years older than you and I do this crap every day!"

"PLEASE MAXXXXXXXX. I'M GOING TO CRY IF YOU DON'T DO WHAT I WANT."

Can you imagine the look on her face? Actually, knowing Max, she probably wouldn't even flinch, turn right around, leave my room and completely and totally ignore me. She might even laugh as she saunters slyly down the stairs, a low throaty laugh, one that only me and her master will hear.

That girl is a cold hearted snake...oh...look into her eyes...uh oh uh oh....

Blogging is For Jeremiah

Jeremiah, my love, my all, my very self, is posting today on Blogging is for Dorks.

I have not read what he has written, but I'm sure it's wonderfully sarcastic and maybe even bordering on mean.

Comment him and compliment him! I implore you! I have to live with this beast day after day and if no one comments on this post, I will never hear the end of it.

Enjoy!

So, what is like to live with Erin, my sweet little schnookems pookie bunny face?

It is rather like walking on egg-shells due to her hair trigger temper. Erin will not hesitate to administer a devastating thrashing for something as simple as asking her to try to remember to close the kitchen cabinets.
Here is a picture of a, shall I say, "less brutal" beating from an earlier date (enhanced for clarity).

Dear sweet Olivia tried to sooth my frayed nerves by brushing my hair.
Olivia is my favorite of the girl children that live in our house. Please do not tell the other ones that I said that though.

Erins attacks come suddenly and swiftly from which, I have no defense. If one has ever seen the Tom and Jerry cartoon in which Jerry (that's the mouse), takes Tom (the cat) by the foot and slams him to and fro, then spins around like an Olympic athlete releasing him into a piano...that is an accurate description of the level of violence this woman is capable of.

Beware not to cross her.

In all seriousness though, she takes care of all of us really well and puts up with my shit more than I put up with hers. She is very talented and beautiful, I just love to cuddle all night and whisper sweet nothings into each others ears (gag, cough) and then go to sleep knowing all is well and that we are soul mates.

Now to the revenge section.

I am sorry but I cannot resist posting an embarrassing photograph.....this is in retaliation of course.

Aaaaahhhh
! I can't bring myself to do it.

So I'll describe it a little:

Erin is laying on the couch on her back. She's wearing an old grey T-shirt riddled with holes and various stains of unknown origin with green and grey striped pajama bottoms, hair and clothes are both disheveled . She's asleep with one arm above her head ,slightly bent. The other is tucked in her pants like Al Bundy. Priceless!
In fact, having made several copies, stored at different locations, I think somebody will have to start being very nice to a certain someone........now? ( she's going to be pissed at that sentence because she's nice all the time)

Erin cooks, cleans, does the laundry, takes care of the children and complains about it incessantly. And we love her. And she loves the Golden Girls, and all reality shows.

She dances like a white broad, is a total control freak and pretends she can speak German. I could, if I felt so inclined, reveal some deep dark secrets here but I will not be that mean (wink wink pick pick).

So instead of creating an even more hostile environment and to avoid a total bloodbath I will just end this by saying, "Hey my little pookie chipmunk looking piece of delightfulness, thank you for being you. I love you! ".

P.S. I need a new hat, unless you can worsh the old one. Oh man the kids are all going to be saying "worsh" it's going to be awesome, I'll see ya later.

Sleeping is for the Birds, not for Max...

I'm not a big 'sleeper' really...but all the kids and I are fighting off colds and whatnot and I've been trying to get a good night's sleep so I remain rested and able to provide that extra oomph my immune system needs.

I am also used to getting up with Max through the night, as an infant she woke up screaming bloody murder about every hour, as a toddler she was up every two hours, sometimes stretching into three, but for the last few months it's been relatively peaceful through the night, and if she gets up, it's only once, it's usually handled in a few minutes and best of all, with no blood curdling screams.

Last night Max decided to bring sleepless back in a whole new way. Hours of torture.

Jeremiah and I watched two episodes of The Wire and afterward I headed to bed. I went into Rose and Olivia's room and turned off the t.v. (I know, I'm the devil...letting kids have a t.v. in their room is a Mommy 101 'no no'). I checked on Rose, who had been home from school for two days with a stomach bug.

I go into Max and Elijah's room and noticed that Max had turned on the auxiliary light at the far end of her room. She calls it her 'nightlight' but I hate leaving it on because it's so bright and bothers Elijah. So I turned it off and went to bed. I flipped the channels, turned off the t.v. and went to sleep. It was 12:15 am.

1:57am (the witching hour):

Max tiptoes across the room.

"Momma. Momma. Momma."

I wake to find her inches from my face beside my bed.

"MAX. Holy Cow. You scared me. What's the matter?"

"I need a drink."

"Ok Max...go get a drink of water from the bathroom. Your water cup is still there."

She lets out a low gutteral sound that makes my skin crawl. I am well familiar with that sound, she is getting ready to FREAK OUT.

"MOMMMMA....I can't...breath...you make me so....mad....I need....a drink...."

I carry her to her room, get her a drink of water and sit on her bed continuously hushing her and reminding her that everyone else in the house is sleeping.

She feigns concern for Jeremiah, who fell asleep on the couch.
"Jeremiah isn't in bed. Maybe I could go check on him and then get back in bed after I go downstairs."

"Max, I'm going back to bed. Please go to sleep."

She cries, but it's weak. I figure she'll be asleep before I even lay down.

2:06am: Max is back in front of my face. I curse (in my head, of course) what the fuck.

"Maxine what do you want now?"

She starts crying so loud I actually shoot out of bed.

"MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAA someone turned the night light in my room off. And I'm not tired."

"Max, everyone is asleep, you have to be quiet. I'll turn your nightlight on."

Upon entering her room, Elijah stirs in his crib. Shit shit shit.

I tuck Max back in, remind her that it's time for sleep (like she hasn't got all this crap totally figured out already) and I get back into my cozy bed.

2:15am:
This time Max is yelling at the tops of her lungs for me from her bed. I don't hear anyone else up, so I decide to ignore her for a few minutes. The cries issuing from her room are near to horrifying.

"Momma MY THROAT." "I NEED ANOTHER DWINK" "MOMMA CAN I WATCH T.V. IN YOUR ROOM I CAN'T SLEEP IN HERE ANYMORE." "I NEED YOU TO COME HERE MOMMMMMMMMMAAAAAA" "MOMMMMMAAAAA I CAN'T STOP CRYING UNTIL YOU COME HERE.......MOMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAA.......DID YOU HEAR ME MOMMMMMAAAAAAAA?"

I hear Rose stumble out of her room and stop in the hall in front of mine and Max's room...she shuffles into my room and starts to whine.

"Mom is there anything you can do about her? I need to sleep. I have school tomorrow and so much make up school work...and a test mom. A test."

"Ok, ok. Rose go back to bed. I'll see what I can do"

I enter Max's room and she's covered in tears and snot. I can tell she's made a big effort to leave all the gooey crap on her face for added effect.
Elijah is amazingly still sound asleep.

I take Max into the bathroom, clean off her face and give her a drink of water. I calm her down, tell her how proud I am of her for being such a big girl and sleeping in her own bed, and how I don't want to ruin it by letting her sleep in mine.

"Mom...Jeremiah isn't even in the bed. He won't care and if you let me sleep with you I won't pee in my pull up."

"Max, you shouldn't be peeing in your pull up anyways."

She looks almost sheepish here, which is strange for Max. I put her back into her bed and get back into mine.

3:20am:
I hear stirring and I think it's her getting out of bed again, instead it's Elijah jumping in his crib.

"MaaaaaaMaaaaaaa. Wo Wo Wo Wo Wo Wo. (water)"

I get out of bed, get him a drink, kiss both him and Max AGAIN and get back into bed.

3:45am:

Max is inches from my face. At least she isn't crying.

"Momma. I peed in my pull up. My bed is wet."

FUCK.

I get up, change her bed clothes, clean her with a warm washcloth, get a new pull up on her. Put her back in her bed, properly tuck her in to escape any further complaints (silky first, the sheety, then comfy blanky). Take the bedclothes down to the basement, turn off the blaring living room t.v. (JEREMIAH! Turn off the t.v. when you're not watching it!) and get back into bed.

4:30am:

Max is sobbing in her room. I ignore her. At least she is sobbing quietly. I feel bad for her, but I'm very tired and I know that I have three other children to take care of in the morning. Finally after ten minutes of her sobbing I go and check on her.

"Momma, why do you close your bedroom door? Just leave it open."

Ok kid, you want to stay up, we'll stay up.

"Max...when momma was a kid I couldn't sleep...just like you, obviously. But instead of torturing my parents I would read in my bed, or make up stories in my head.... When I was older and in school I had to get more sleep because I had to get up early in the morning, but I still couldn't sleep. Sometimes I would cry, just like you, in the middle of the night. But my parents had to sleep too, so I would read or make up stories in my head...."

She was asleep. I didn't even get to the best part.

I left my door open last night. The whole way.

Steam Me Up Worms, I'll Go Eat Erin

Everybody knows that I love love love Becky from the World Famous Steam Me Up , Kid.

So when she ordered some custom items from me I was tickled every shade of pink my limited little brain could come up with.

I was even more tickled when I got this photo in my inbox this morning:

Then, get this. On the very same day I got the order from Steamy I also get an order from Becky at I'll go eat worms (Who is vlogging today, by the way!)

WHAT?!? Isn't that weird.

Here are the photos I took of their stuff before I shipped it out:

Yesterday I listed some new items in my shop:

Baby Blue City Cap

Max's Kitty Cat Hat

Neckwarmer or Scarf Have it Your Way

I am making the toughest face I've ever made in the Baby Blue City Cap listing.

If you're interested in a custom order, please contact me via email. I like to give special discounts to my blogworld friends. (Like I have any friends)

AND IN OTHER NEWS! Jeremiah will be posting his second blog post ever (the first was on our failed movie review blog BloggingisforDorksMovies) this coming Sunday October 25th. It will be all about what I'm really like. And it will be all lies. ALL LIES.

If your partner/friend/sibling/parent wants to post about you on the same day I'll link you on Jeremiah's Sunday Post. Just let me know.

Our Home Videos

I started this blog mainly to keep mine and Jeremiah's family informed of our children's excellent cuteness.

I use it now to write, to communicate with new friends I've made and to share new designs and sales...

But this post is mainly a look inside our home and a peek at those delightful children (and Jeremiah).

Rose is a soccer superstar AND a rapper:

Jeremiah:

Max is just absolutely lovely:

We sing Happy Birthday to my sweet boy!:

If anyone is still interested in how my weight loss is going, I've lost 22 pounds so far. Because I'm a complete and total mess of a person, I'm totally not satisfied with this...but I'm keeping on keeping on. The one thing I've changed is eating noodles (which I wasn't at all before) mainly because I crave them and I'm afraid if I keep away from them for too long I'll just make myself a gigantic bowl of ramen one day and down the whole thing.

So I'm keeping cups everywhere around the kitchen and when I have dinner with the kids I eat one cup of what they're eating (unless it's a meat dish). For example, Friday night Elijah and I had whole wheat pasta, plum tomatoes, spinach and baby portabellos. (Jeremiah had bulk hot sausage, hot banana peppers, green peppers, red onions and tomatoes.)

I'm wearing 3 sizes smaller pants right now as we speak, but every time I look in the mirror I don't see the changes. It's sad, really.

It's Make Your Partner Do What I Say Day *a recently recognized holiday*

OK.

The other day myself and a few peeps (Wad up!? I'm 28 and from Western PA, you don't think I can hang with da thugs? I watch The Wire now. I've got lots of rep in West Baltimore) If you don't know what I'm talking about please ignore this whole paragraph and move on, otherwise you'll lose all respect for me and any writing prowess you thought I might have (or had).

Anyways, me and a few of my homegirls were talking about getting our significant others to post on our blogs...like a special blogging holiday. We pick a day, make (I mean, strongly urge) our significant others to write a post and have it done by that day...then we'll post the post and we'll all talk about it.

The whole idea was 'What is *insert bloggers name here* really like" or "What it's really like to live with *insert bloggers name here*".

We're always on here telling our own stories and inccessantly talking about ourselves, why not have someone call us out on it and write about the real us. I talked to Jeremiah about it last night and he was quiet for a really long time. Obviously thinking about all the hilarious and embarrassing things he could write about me!

Well, what do you think?

If you don't have a partner, your best friend could write it, or yo momma or whoever...you're all smart people, you're picking up what I'm laying down, right?

Comment here or email me and I'll pick a date and start immeadiately annoying Jeremiah about writing his post...

This will be so much fun!

Shocking News about the State of Her Carpets

I'm still around the newly dubbed The Pink Factor (i love pink, kara...deal with it) and there will be a few more excellent guest posters this week, so don't forget to check them all out!

OK, so I'm a pretty clean person. I went through a stage in my life where I was a super lazy mess. Now I've got my act together and I've pretty much taken it to the other extreme.

So when Jeremiah and I purchased a new sweeper this weekend, I had no idea that the resulting mess was going to be like this:

First of all, Jeremiah looks like a supermodel here.
Second What The Hell is up with all that shit?!?!? This was just from him sweeping the downstairs and the steps too. I guess my old sweeper wasn't doing anything AT ALL? I'm in complete shock looking at these photos.

Max and Elijah are cute.

Elijah looks like he's really waiting for someone to talk to him in that first photo. The look on his face is that mix of still expectant but yet becoming disappointed.

New design! I love this little baby hat. I wish I made it big enough for me. But alas, it's just a wee baby hat. Sized 6-12 months. This hat will be on sale here for $14 for one week, then I'll be putting it in my etsy shop for $18. If you want it or any other order, please contact me by email. Custom orders will currently take 12-16 days for ordering supplies and completion.

I'll be offering one sale a week until I get too busy with custom orders (hopefully) so look out for some deals.

The Pink Factor: We're All Deep in the Pink This Week

Today I am here, in my home here, doing laundry and working on custom orders...

I renamed his site The Pink Factor because he's having guest posters of the feminine persuasion all week long. So check out yesterdays as well as todays AND the rest of the weeks!

Compare and Contrast Video Blogging

This is not necessarily a video response to Aly at Calling People Names... more of a contrast and compare.

I'm always fascinated with how people from this ginormous country of ours can be so similar and yet so different, depending on where they grew up in it.

I'm a generically typical no accent upper middle US broad. A lot of the people in Pittsburgh are exactly like people in New Jersey and I'm not one of those. Never had big hair, don't sound like I've been practicing sounding like James Caan's Sonny in the Godfather since I was 10... You get the picture.

Aly is a modern southern belle. Lovely, made up to perfection, with a dirty, dirty mouth...

Here is my video blog response:

I'm not really a slave. I just like the word and the sexual connotation. That's not true either.

I hope everyone is having a delightful Sunday.

I Love You, I Honestly Love You.

LadyTruth gave me this award. Isn't it cute? It reminds me of the little notes that you pass to your friends or to boys in the 6th grade.

Dear Blogging Universe,
CHECK THIS LINE IF YOU LIKE MY BLOG ___

CHECK THIS LINE IF YOU DON'T___

Call me if your mom ungrounds you this weekend. We can talk all day and night and coordinate outfits for school on Monday.

XOXOXOXO Erin

I know the whole idea of getting an award is passing it on, but I just don't want to. I'm going to pretend that award is special just for me.

I made up my own awards for some special bloggers:

This is for Steamy. She and I were commiserating about being fat. I'm sure she's nowhere near as chubster as me, but she's in my thoughts.

This is for my friend Marcia. She's my neighbor and an awesome totally excellent artist. Links to her etsy shop can be found on her blog. She has the most adorable items, very reasonable prices and also...She has Crazy Ass Style.

This old dude is freaking fracking hilarious. His blog is not for the weak of heart, so if you're my mom, Jeremiah's mom or stepmom...I would refrain from going over there. If you're not one of those people then have at it, Old Knudsen will make your day.

We could be great friends, you know. The young fat ingenue and the bitter old tart.

And I know that Jeremiah does not have a blog...but he totally deserves this award:

Dieting is For Dorks

Yesterday a lot of people were asking what kind of dieting I’m doing. Before I go on and on about this, please realize that I am not advising anyone to do what I’m doing…I’ve heard that it’s dangerous to eat under 1000 calories a day, although I’m obviously not feeling any of those so called dangerous effects.
I weighed myself at 20 days into the diet and have lost 14 pounds.
I'm hoping to lose 60 by February. Why February? I don't know. Just picked something that seemed kind of far away but not too far.

I’m an overeater. I usually eat really healthy foods, just too much of them at a time. I also eat when I’m not hungry and eat things I’m not that fond of to begin with just to put things in my mouth.

I have a strange oral fixation where I literally feel better after I put something in my mouth. I used to chew gum until it screwed up my jaw. Just tonight I went to put Max's half eaten, totally slobbered on chocolate dipped pretzel in my mouth. I stopped myself just short of jamming the damn thing in there.

And before you think I’m just ripping on myself for no reason, I will tell you my weight. It's hard to even write it down. Ugh!

I’m 28 years old 5’3’’ and I weighed 190 pounds before I started dieting 21 days ago. So everyone is congratulating me and all I can think about is the 50 pounds ahead of me!

I weaned Elijah a month ago, so since I’m only eating for me now and not creating giant buckets of breast milk, let’s have at it!

As far as exercising goes, I’m a pretty active person. I clean a lot, play with the kids a lot, we go on walks and ride bikes quite often. I do a yoga/pilates routine after I put Elijah down for his nap around 1p.m.
I’m mainly working on holding poses, doing long smooth movements and contracting different muscle groups.

Max and I do jumping jacks, push up and sit ups after that, but just a brief ten minute thing.

Other than that I try to be active, but I don’t ‘work out’.

My diet is a different thing altogether. I’ve been a vegetarian on and off most of my life…mainly because I just don’t like meat.
I don’t like chicken, I don’t like pork (unless it’s my mom’s yachamay), I rarely eat any red meat and if I do I’m perplexed at why I’m even doing it, considering I don’t like it.

So I don’t eat any meat. However, I do eat eggs (no yolks..yuck) and dairy (but sparingly).

So I made a decision to change the way I eat.
Here’s my intake for today:

Breakfast (I usually eat ½ cup of multigrain cheerios with a splash of skim milk 125 calories):
1 small piece banana peanut butter bread (homemade by me with smart balance peanut butter and applesauce instead of butter) (I have no idea how many calories this is…it was a very small piece)
1 apple (80 calories)

Lunch:
2 cups spinach
Three button mushroom
3 whole small pickled beets
One handful sugar snap peas
Alfalfa sprouts
1 tbs newman’s ginger soy dressing ( 35 calories for 2 tbs…I thought I’d use 1 to be safe)
3 salt and vinegar soy crisps
(all the veggies add up to about 80 calories 15 for the dressing and the crisps are 100 calories for 17 crisps…so lets not even count them, who wants to do math right now?)

Snacky Poo:
Four Pecans
Four cashews
8 peanuts
2 macadamia nuts
(it says that 1/3 cup is 140 calories…so I’m guessing this was 100 calories)

Dinner (the second week of dieting I made a giant pot of cabbage soup and had 1 ½ cups of that for dinner for five nights…I added stuff to it over the week to change it up):
Brussel Sprouts
Mushrooms
Sprouts
Black beans (just a couple)
½ tbs of olive oil
Tons of spices
A splash of worsteshire sauce
(here I’m also guessing the total calories to be 200)
(45 for the brussel sprouts 50 for the beans 50 for the olive oil…50 for the mushrooms and sprouts?)

Dessert:
I’m not there yet, but I’m going to have about 10 oz. of gingerale. I think drinking fills you up more than snacking…for less calories. I usually add a half a lemon wedge. This drinking of gingerale thing seems like an extravagance to me, but I stay up pretty late and it’s hard not to snack while Jeremiah’s eating chips or triscuits every night)
(150 calories)

During the Day I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee with a splash of skim milk. So I’m guessing total 100 calories for the milk?

Total Calories: 830

Now I imagine total I burned 200 calories. One short aerobic workout, yoga, two short bike rides (once with Max in the kid’s seat, once with Elijah) and one long walk with all four kids.

So Calories for today 630. According to some online resources this isn’t healthy…but I feel freaking awesome.
I love being in control of what I eat and making the portions pretty and petite. I like being healthy and I really like being different.

I made excuses in the past like, ‘I don’t want to make myself a separate dinner‘, etc…etc…but I really enjoy preparing myself alternative dinners. The saute I came up with tonight was excellent.

So to curb cravings I do these things:
Add ½ ounce of cheese to my salad or soup. (cut a block of cheese into 8 pieces, those are 1 oz. pieces)
Eat dill pickles.
Make cold green tea with lots of lemon. Just the time it takes to make it curbs the cravings enough that I’m satisfied with the tea.
Eat green peppers. They make you feel a little bloated after awhile…then you’re not hungry!

These are the times I failed miserably in the past three weeks:

Jeremiah, Elijah and I went to a Mexican joint. I ate two enchiladas, one spinach, one mushroom. That’s not so bad but they ladle this cheese sauce over EVERYTHING. I also had a dollop of sour cream with it. I was sooo sick afterwards.

I had pizza at Elijah’s birthday party.

Elijah and I shared a small bowl of chocolate ice cream.

It’s been super hard and there’s been a few times where I’ve been down in the dumps (I think it may have been a lack of iron in my diet, so I added some beans to my dinners), but it’s been worth it so far.

I’m hoping to lose enough weight where I’m not embarrassed to be around people at the holidays. I’m hoping I can get to the point where I don’t eat when I’m not hungry, where I make healthy decisions and most importantly where I feel like I'm hot, so I can stop being the touchy silly self conscious fool I've been lately (sorry Jeremiah).

That’s it. If you want to talk about being fat or dieting or getting tips whatever, don’t hesitate to email me. I'm a prompt responder.

Blatant Self Promotion, Dig Me. Or Die.

I've been a busy little bee. A buzzing busy bee flitting around from flowers to flower, attacking people with my disproportionate ass, making said people sad and swollen.

I made our dear dear friend Vic a custom set and a hat for her daughter. I'm assuming her daughter doesn't read my blog, otherwise I'm ruining one of her Christmas presents.

Oh well. If you're Vic's daughter and you're reading this, SURPRISE!!!

AND there is no Santa Claus.

This is their order:

Speaking of Christmas, this is a new set I made up last weekend with the holidays in mind. The luxury merino wool yarn I've been using is so freaking soft and comfy it's unbelievable.

I looked pissed in the second photo. Probably thinking 'mother frugging camera...take the damn photo already'.

These are the fingerless gloves I came up with using the luxury 100% Peruvian Wool I recently got my hands in, on. ha.
It's a much more delicate yarn than I'm used to using and I love love it. The buttons are vintage from my grandmother's incredibly large stash. I bet they were from a baby's layette...or something dreamy like that.

I can make them longer or shorter too...I just thought this was a good length for a sample.

I'm working on these darling baby girl hats with handmade posey appliques if anyone is interested in a special gift for a baby girl! I snapped a quick photo of the bottom of the hat, but I don't have it finished, nor do I have a baby model. Such is life, eh?

And if anyone was interested in my dieting so far, I weighed myself yesterday after 20 days of a strict regime and I've lost 14 pounds.

Sooooo a million more to go! Yay Me!

My Rag Tag Crew.

The other night Jeremiah and I took the whole super human crew to a little parking lot down a few blocks from our house.
We must have been a rag tag looking bunch, Jeremiah was carrying his skate board and a Diego three wheeler, Max was riding her Dora three wheeler and both Rose and Olivia were carrying their skateboards.

I was the only one without wheels, the obvious outcast.

Oddly enough we had a blast. Just down a couple blocks from our house, with the same equipment we all play on all the time, running around and playing in a parking lot.

So here's some bits and pieces from our night... Check out Elijah's kick ass hat, he loves wearing that thing. He won't wear any hat I make, or any hat other than that one. Silly Boy.
